I have been involved in birding and bird photography for over 20 years. In the past few years, bird photography has become my passion. In my other life I'm an engineer with the U.S. Navy. I live in the bird-rich Kern County, California. This area is centrally located at the convergence of multiple bio-regions, giving me the opportunity to photograph many avian subjects. I also have traveled around the country and to Costa Rica to photograph species not normally available in my area.
