My first passion in photography was capturing images of nature, whether up close and personal - flowers, dewdrops, or "bugs"; or the grandeur of landscape ever since my grandmother gave me an Agfa rangefinder camera over 40 years ago. I segued into my second career upon an early retirement opening up a portrait studio because I was told that if I wanted to be a professional photographer I had to have a studio. After nearly 10 years as a studio owner I closed up "shop" in 2006 to concentrate on fine art and a return to my first love - the allure and beauty of nature. I am enamored with the challenge that digital capture offers and so glad that I hopped on board the digital train and realize that I have a long way to go on the journey.
