There was plenty of parking when we got to the trail head, but by the time we got back from our 5.4 mile round trip hike, the place was packed! It was quite the popular place on our visit and hard to get a good comp with people and dogs frolicking all over. There was one guy who had to prove his worth by swimming over to the falls. Mel and I had just come down out of the snow and this water was freezing. I was waiting for a drowning because it was obvious the guy could hardly breathe!

It was a really nice hike and the canyon was lush with an abundance of spring green. There was also a nice assortment of wildflowers blooming. Cool temps topped off the afternoon sparing us from dying of heat stroke. Spring is a good time to visit, but not during spring break!
