Looking into Death Valley from Schulman grove. Early morning light illuminates Bristlecone pines in fore-ground and on distant slopes. Left fore-ground is a new growth tree (most of these trees are growing off of the same root system) which shows promise for thousands of years to come. Center mid-ground is an "old man," that has lifted it's root completely off surface on facing side and put new roots down and exhibits prolific green foliage.
