Pronds

Ferns are one plant I never tire of photographing. There are many varieties and even though I don’t know the scientific names, they look so different depending on how the light is falling on them. I was photographing a group of them in a county park in Somerset, NJ, when I noticed how the soft morning light was striking these four pronds. They were hanging under a much larger group and hidden behind some others but they created beautiful green tones that caught my eye.
