The Anhinga was carried to an opening to perform the removal of the carpet material. I could not take any pictures of the removal because I had to hold the bird while the Biologist cut the Carpet from it's beak. Because of it's sword like beak with backwards barbs that helps it hold the fish it spears, removal took quite an effort.
