Exhausted after the rut

An old late November buck, who survived hunters' guns to pass on his genes, pauses before entering an opening in the forest near Ely. The buck, tired after the November rutting season, has slush frozen and plastered to his face. Note the cataract in the buck's right eye (left eye as you face the deer).
