The Petit Dru, to the left of the picture, is one of the most photogenic mountains in the Alps, even although it is essentially an outrider of the Aiguille Verte, the snow peak just visible behind. With changing lighting and variable weather conditions, the Dru provides a fascinating and infinitely variable subject for any photographer (see also "Break in the clouds").
