This ridge, rising from Beinn Bhan to Sgurr Dearg, has always appealed to me aesthetically. The summit of Sgurr Dearg (1024m/3360ft) represents heaven, and the solitary climber at the bottom of the ridge is toiling towards it. These hills are part of the Ben Vair group overlooking Ballachulish at the mouth of Loch Leven in western Scotland.
