On a rainy day on Mt. LeConte, the Alum Cave trail draws hikers on into the woods, through a forest of Fraser firs, to the top of the mountain and LeConte Lodge. The mountain and the lodge which bears its name are in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee.
