A different perspective of the Florida banded watersnake. I'm holding the snake in my left hand and shooting with the right. I do this often for reference shots, primarily profiles of each snake's head. In this case, I wanted to get a ventral perspective. Bandeds have quite a bit of variation in their ventral patternations. Realizing the light was quite nice, I took a little more time to 'play' with the shot. I like the end result, though it's a bit uncanny and probably not satisfying for those who want to see the full face.
