Light from the Heavens

An unwitting detour into this wildest of national parks resulted in one of the most spectacular views I have seen. When I passed the sign showing I had entered this park (and was going in the wrong direction), I noticed something unusual happening in the sky. Instead of turning around, I drove on and stopped when I finally came across a good viewpoint of the Saw Back range. Smoke from a nearby forest fire had blown across to this area and the late afternoon sky developed an unearthly glow which bathed the layers of mountains & trees.
