This week past, John & Patty Benway & I headed into the Adirondack Mountains for a few days R&R (read photography). The original plan included a few hikes into the high peaks for some of the "grand scene" shots but the weather was not very cooperative. When the temp goes up, so does the haze in such a moist forrest land. The mountain views were simply silouettes on the skyline.
This scene was shot at Split Rock Falls in New Russia (Essex Co.). I've been in there a few times with various cameras but could never quite figure how to get this angle. For this, my tripod and I were literally hanging over the edge of the cliff to get the right side of the the falls into the picture.
C & C always welcome.
