Farewell to an ocean of white sands

After two days of shooting in White Sands, this was my very last shot of the day and of the entire trip.
The sun had just set behind the mountains and the desert dust typical of the region was yielding a glorious and intense light of reds and yellow hues. On the ground, the dome portion of the dune where I was standing was still catching the last glare of the sunlight and it appeared as if was almost artifitially illuminated.
