This is the bay at Ocean Falls, British Columbia. Ocean Falls is only accessible via boat or seaplane and is currently home for only about 40 residents. At it’s heyday, Ocean Falls was home to nearly 4,000, had a K-12 school system, its own hospital, and one of the province's largest hotels. The town itself, and the pulp and paper mill (the largest employer) were owned by a single company. Unfortunately, the company was struggling by 1970 and, in 1973, the town and pulp and paper mill were sold to the provincial government. In 1980, the government closed the mill and bulldozed most of the town.
