Emerging from the Mist

Took an hour to slowly row over to this heron perched on a log sitting in the fog...I actually bumped the log with the boat - still he did not move. Finally the sun penetrated the fog just enough to cast a warm light on the front of him. Didn't notice till later it looks like he is sitting on a gator head.
