Dischmabach

This little mountain stream runs through the Dischmatal, one of the valleys which head off south-east from Davos in eastern Switzerland. Better known as a ski-resort, this area also offers some fine opportunities for photography away from the skiing season.

I shot this in the light of early morning, whilst the stream was still shaded by the mountains. As I was faffing around with my LF kit I noticed the line of sunlight getting ever closer. Fortunately, I just had enough time to knock out two exposures before the beautiful reflections and gentle colours disappeared...
