This is typically the last grove of aspen in Rocky Mountain National Park to turn each year. Usually after I shoot this grove, the snow falls and it is time for winter. After shooting this in the morning I now hear that they are predicting a large snowstorm for tonight, so I guess that is about par for course. I took this while the elk were bugling nearby. In the background are Notchtop Mountain and Gabletop Mountain along the Continental Divide.
