Sea Mammals

Keywords: mammal, sea, sea lion, blind

This was shot during a photo contest in April with my Canon 40D and a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8. I raised the ISO to 1250 and shot shutter priority at 1/3000 so that the camera would shoot faster than my palsy. "Popeye" has been begging food in the marina at Friday Harbor, WA for over 16 years. She is blind in her left eye and a statue of her in a city park in Friday Harbor and it has an opaque eye. Friday Harbor is in the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound and is accessible by air or by boat, only.
