A Most Beautiful Thing

Using my Canon 5D, Canon 100mm macro, a Canon 500D diopter, and Kenko 48mm extension tubes. I had spent about 3 hours photographing these seed pods and flicking drops of water on them. As the sun set it turned the background grasses golden and created shadows and tiny colored prisms on the seed umbrellas. I wanted to convey the 100+ heat I was feeling and also capture this surreal little world. F4, 1/1250 sec, ISO 400. I cloned out a distracting bright spot, otherwise it is as seen.
