Keywords: Brown Widow, Latrodectus geometricus, induced species
An induced species, the Brown Widow is becoming more common in the southern states. This spider reproduces quickly and I have seen neighborhoods that have as manay as 6 to 8 spiders per linear foot of fence. The good things is they are not aggressive from what I have seen.
