A mother cheetah with her three, almost fully-grown, cubs was feeding on a wildebeest calf that she had brought down in the Ndutu area of southern Serengeti NP, Tanzania. Nearby, a large flock of a mixed species of vultures, and a pair of tawny eagles, sat patiently for the cheetahs to finish their meal before moving in to partake of the feast. Just then, seemingly out of nowhere, came a spotted hyena and stole the partially eaten carcass from the cheetahs, who put up no more than a token protest at the thief.
