A mountain goat seems to survey Chicago Basin from his high alpine view at 14,000 feet. The backdrop is Mount Eolus, 14083', one of three "fourteeners" in the Chicago Basin area of the Weminuche Wilderness. Our group was climbing Sunlight Peak when we spotted this mountain goat. Chicago Basin is remote and can be accessed by the Durango-Silverton Train and an arduous six mile hike. San Juan Mountains, Colorado.
