River Terns are crow like birds that feed on fish. They have fast flight and have the courage and speed to stun even birds of prey. They are especially very ferocious when it comes to defending its chicks. They lay eggs on rocks in the middle of the water. They lay one or two eggs in a year and guard the eggs and chicks like Gold. The moment they see a bird of prey like a Kite or a Cormorant on the horizon, the male or the female takes flight and use ferocious cries and utmost speed to drive away the predator. I wonder where they gain their strength to be on flight fighting other birds when they are breeding.
