Sandpiper-like Birds

Keywords: Olympus, e3, ZD 300, f2.8, Dungeness, Olympic Penninsula

I am the first to admit that I am terrible at identifying shorebirds. Lately, I haven't even done well at the normal birds that I think that I know. Not enough time in the field! I still have to make a living, unfortunately! I had found hundreds of these little tiny guys at Dungeness Bay, and was in my kayak with my camera, but it was way too rough to get a good shot! So, I beached the kayak and low-crawled up to a small flock of them. In the meantime, my wife was waiting, in her kayak, for an hour or more, and got sloshed by a couple of waves! She was not at all happy with me, but she got over it when she saw a few of the photos I got!
