Lion with kill

This is the most memorable moment in our safari. The unfortunate prey was a newborn wilderbeast. It was learning to gallop along side its mother and they wandered off from the herd. About 500m away we spotted this lioness heading towards the wilderbeast herd along the gully. As soon as the lioness appeared out of the gully, the herd dispersed quickly. However, the mother and child were unaware and the lioness went straight for the kid. The lioness then carried the prey away to feed her cubs.
