These challenges come round quick! Just had a look back over the last couple of weeks images. For me the following shots stood out ;
Tom Wylie - Kiss or Fight awesome flight shot
Phil Kirkham - hoverfly - superbly lit and detailed macro shot, even if I wasn't so keen on the composition.
Tim Munsey - Holly Blue - another top draw macro shot, just delightful to view
But my nomination for this challenge goes to ;
Rob Am - Little Grebe Wing flap (2nd edition minus the dust spot...)
As mentioned in the comments, a very unusual shot to get of a Little Grebe (i.e. out of the water) and the wing flap, water droplets, light, and background all added up to make a unique image of the highest standard.
Wow which one to choose.
Phil Shaw's hare is an amazingly sharp capture of the beast in run.
Helge's Godwits, I just love the atmospheric feel this shot gives.
Tom's Kiss or Fight, is a beautiful capture of the exceedingly photogenic terns.
Rob's Little Grebe, is a very surprising capture not seen by so many observers before so for this I pick this one.
Ah, just to reiternate Johns point, as a 'Mod' I may have to decide the tie-breaker hence I can't enter --- that said, as Tom, thanks for the comments,

Grass Hopper by Colin Pickett
What a fabulous image
The lighting is lovely the composition and DOF are spot on and the subject is a beauty...one of the best grasshopper images i've ever seen
Everyone always goes for birds of mammals...insects can be attractive too

If I had to hang the image on my wall it would be Justin's Roe Deer and for the perfect image like Larry I would pick Colin Pickett's Grasshopper. However I am also going for Rob's Little Grebe which he captured so well but mainly because it is so unusual!

Yup, Rob's Little Grebe for me. Outstanding and also unusual. There are a good few to choose from though, but this image just stands out for me.

I will have to say Justins Roe Deer it is a beautiful image of one of my favourite animals, they are so hard to get decent images of them and Justin has produced a stunner.

My vote goes to Horse Fly by Barrie Courtenay.
Barrie has done so well to spot this image and it's reallt is a different image to the norm which makes it stand out for me.

Light and location make this a memorable shot. A very high quality shot indeed

Just brilliant - only shot that really sticks out from last couple of weeks for me.
