Found this guy in my house Sunday. Would like an ID, and I don't really know spiders. I'm pretty sure this one's fairly common. I have photographed them before, but never with this detail.

I am fairly sure what you have is a spitting spider. You have managed a very nice photo, Dominic. Its better than the one in my field guide and most of the internet reference photos I found. (Google - spitting spider). Spitting spiders (Family Scytodidae) Ref. from National Audubon Society - Field Guide to North American Insects & Spiders - "...have large spitting glands...which produce a sticky secretion that is squirted on prey...with good aim...can spit about 20mm...most are small spiders, rarely more than 9mm long...have six eyes arranged in three groups...frequently found in homes."
Hope this helps?

Great detail in this one, dominic - though I can't say it's my favorite subject! . I like how the legs are almost transluscent. Very crisp!

Nice catch on this one Dominic. Very nice sharpness just where you needed it. I'm with Tim on this, spiders are not one of my favorite's, they are just too stealthy! Thanks for posting.
