Rock and water
The bottom of this stream is uncovered now, and gives a glimpse of what is normally inundated. My eye was caught by the reflection of foliage on the water at the neck of this little cascade.. blues and other cool tones were also visible, with the moving white water ending up smooth. A little abstract, might not be anyone's cup of tea, but I kind of liked it..

Ned,

I think it's a great shot, a somewhat surreal capture. :toast: I would go so far to say I've never seen anything like it and wouldn't be surprised if people tried to imitate this unique style. I think it will affect my thought process when I'm out shooting.

Ned,
Nice eye capturing this. I agree with Kosta about it being surreal. Is the green in the rocks the reflection from the foilage also?

Abstracty and colorful. I like it.

Ned, I think there is a lot out there on the edges that you don't need. Keeping the same aspect ratio, I'd drag down from the top left and take out a bit of the bottom and right. I like how the rocks overlap each other in a counter clockwise direction.

Ned,
first off, I like it. Especially how it all spirals inward. I have to agree with Mark on cropping it though, there should be more of a prominant center.

I'll drag this out there with me Saturday Mark, and you can show me what you mean....

In high school, I had a creative writing teacher who used to say that every word had to have impact or had to contribute to the impact. Whenever we would get papers back, his most frequent comment was "too wordy, cut 30%"!
If this were mine, I'd look at it and think, "what doesn't contribute to the impact". Be ruthless! Tell the story and don't dilly dally, don't loose my eye, tell me where you want me to go, You want me to hit highlights wherever I look.
