Hi,

Many thanks to those who commented on my previous image.

Went out again yesterday evening in search of my local pair of Roe deer, never found them unfortunately, but came across these three trees instead, which thankfully co-insided with sunset.

Spent a good hour photographing them, both as a group,in pairs and singly, against an ever changing backdrop of oranges,reds,bluey-greys,etc.

This particular one was 10 minutes after the sun had set directly behind them.

All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Hi Justin

Well seen, composed and a sky to die for - I like everything about it!

Hi justin

Very nice. I wonder if it would look better with the broken trunk on the left cloned out?

Lovely sunset though.

Cheers

Wonderful, the sky is enchanting and the trees give depth I think.

Hi Justin
a very nice sunset. It always surprises me that a lot of photographers pack up their gear as the Sun is going down. As I see with your comments that you realise that you can obtain cracking sunsets after the Sun disappears.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments so far.
I've re-posted with a slight curves adjustment,as I noticed the original seemed to lack a bit of contrast when uploaded to the web,for some reason.
Not sure if it's an improvement.

Hi Justin,

The repost does give a bit more "oomph" to an already stunning image. Sunsets are one of my favourite things, it's one of the best free shows on the planet.

Well spotted and expertly exposed

Regards

Hi Justin

Very well seen and composed. Often tricky to make a silhouette shot work well but the 3 dead trees are a perfect subject for this type of treatment. Second shot looks slightly better. It is bigger too which adds to the impact.
