Edit: As mentioned in comments, Steve has been found! Yay! :jump: He posted about his unexpected adventure in the Arizona desert here. It's worth the read. Thanks to everyone who looked and passed this on.

Steve doesn't participate here so far as I know, but since AZ is now a part of our region, I thought I would post this here just in case someone knows him or has any information. I figure it's a longshot, but as I understand it he was last known to be out hunting for lightning shots in the Superstition Mountains.

Anyone who posts on other forums of any type that may put more eyes out might want to consider this too! Prayers are certainly out for his safety and return home.

Ya I went ahead and posted it on dpreview, outdoor eyes and online photographers....it seems stuff like this is happening a little to frequently. Photographers going out alone in wilderness with a TON of expensive equipment where cell phone's don't work...always remember to tell someone where you are going

Steve Davidson has been found. There are no details concerning his disappearance, however it appears that at this time he is in good health. I'm sure the timeline that Becky linked to will be updated as information comes in.

Glad he's okay, but he definitely made some questionable/bad decisions. He's lucky.
