Indigo Bunting
I know this breaks all kinds of 'rules'. The bird is centered, it is looking away from the flower, it is too small in the frame.

But I like it.

Cropped from the top and bottom just a little.

Shot this Sunday at Crown City wildlife area, southern Ohio.

Well I like it too, it sure shows off the coloration of that little beauty.

These little guys are hard to catch (at least they have been for me!) , so I say, way to go Josh!

If this is full frame, you can probably upsize the image somewhat, then crop to make him look larger in the image.

Josh as they saying goes "rules are meant to be broken"! I think the overall comp works well.

VIRTICLE_VIRTICKE-VIRTICLE---you know ME Mr. Vertical.--but then again it kind of works since the branch is nicly centered in whatever is in the background, and the coloration of the tree reall makes it even better.

I bet we had a better time than you on Sunday!!! Give me a ring when you get the time.

Rergards,

Jack

PS

( I actually shot a horizontal on Saturday AM--Dan B was my witness)

I think the image works fine as is. The little guy contrasts well with the surroundings. also, it never fails when I try to shoot bid images the bird always comes out too small in the frame.
