Hi Barrie.
Very sharp, and an eye-catching combination of colours. Only flaw I can see is that the butterfly is a little too close to the frame`s edge. Perhaps a horizontal, or a slightly looser composition, would solve that.

Hi Barrie, interesting composition, like Jeremy I would have prefered just a little more room behind the insect, I also feel the the point of focus isn't quite ideal, but that is minor.

Perhaps a tad tight - but a really beautiful image. I like it a lot!

Hi Barrie

I have looked at this a couple of times before commenting on it but having mulled it over I really like the image.

I personally prefer it if I crop some space from the top and have a slightly squarer composition. A bit more space on the left and right hand side would also help as it does look a bit squeezed into the frame as it stands.

Having said that though I like the bold colours, the detail in the flower, and the position and proportions of the butterfly.

It is a very eye catching image and a nice different variation on the usually butterfly shots.

Overall a big thumbs up from me :toast:

cheers

Hi Barry,

A most attractive and colourful butterfly image.
Compositionally I feel the image would be even stronger with the butterfly more towards the top right-hand corner of the frame, but this is more personal preference than a nit.
A fine result. :toast:
