This was taken on a walk in the mid-Walian hills a couple of years ago. I increased contrast and saturation a touch, and - missing those grainy old films - added a bit of grain.
Not sure about it at all. What do you think? Thanks for looking.
Canon SLR, lens, slide film.
I like the mood of this shot very much. Not sure about the grain though, I've never liked grain on any photos, would be interesting to see it without for comparison.

Hi Jeremy
Nice image but in this case I don't think the grain works!

Hi Jeremy
Firstly I like the image and the composition. A moody and dramatic shot. Personally I quite like your addition of the grain. For this type of shot it adds texture and atmosphere to the image. I imagine the effect is more pronounced on a print and I can imagine that this works well printed big on some nice art paper.
For comparison purposes it would be interesting to see the non-grainy version.

Love the sun rays but imho the additional grain detracts from the pic

Good to see you posting again
A well seen and a well captured image with lots of mood and atmosphere.
Love how the suns rays appear to be shining directly towards the largest tree.
I'd almost forgotten what grain looked like, having now become so used to smooth DSLR images
PS. The more I view the shot the more I like the grainy effect.
Regards Rob.
