Fishing Trip
I just thought I would share my little excursion my wife and I took last weekend up the Deschutes river. We biked in from the mouth too my favorite fishing hole. I didn't catch anything but it was a alot of fun. We did have three flat tires from the sagebrush thorns but we had spare tubes and patches along with CO2 tanks to pump up the tires. This picture is of me fishing about 5 miles from the mouth. I fell in right after this was taken. The pictures were were taken with a little pocket sized Casio 6 mgpxl camera. (EX-Z60). It is a great little camera.

And thiis was taken on our way back while my wife was fixing her tire. (Yes, I'm a bad husband. I made her change her tire without my help)

Well if nothing else, that fly rod case keeps the road clear for ya! :jump:

I was out there once and one guy got NINE flats! The trick is to stay strictly on the roads.

I want to get out there this fall when the Rabbit brush is flowering. I need some Deschutes River photographs so I can put a photo on the Deschutes River Blend coffee label.

Erik,
Enjoyed the photo trip report. We once camped at an Oregon state park by the Deschutes River. Beautiful place and nice warm weather. It looks like you guys got away from the crowds.

Mark,
We got a flat before we even made it to the gravel road. We actually had four flats because my tire was almost flat when we got back to the car. Curtis, My rod case was definatly problematic in areas where the road was narrow. I almost bit it several times.. Harald, we started our ride at the "Deschutes State park" right where the river feeds into the Columbia. I would never camp at that park. The spots are real close together with no trees and there were packs of kids running around and screaming.
