Hi Larry

A nicely caught flight shot. Good exposure and detail on the gull. Looks sharp too given it was shot wide open with the 2x converter.

cheers

Sean

Thanks everyone for the kind comments

Sean in good light my 300 f2.8L IS with a 2x convertor is just as sharp as my old straight 500mm f4L IS...now some people may not believe this but as i've owned both (in fact I think Ii've owned most lenses...including 2x300f4's...2x500mm's..3x300f2.8's (don't ask )) I have a chance to run some tests to confirm..sometimes i don't even have to sharpen images taken with the 300mm it's a fantastic piece of kit, so versatile too
