I'm not too sure on this one myself, the simplicity is good, the colour is striking, the curves and difference in tonality between the hills is excellent, but for me it doesn't hold enough visual interest or a focal point to want to look at it for an extended period or on numerous occasions (EDIT He says, having now looked at it several times ).
However,I would imagine as an image for your own wall that it could prove a winner,i.e. the peacefulness that the image portrays may bring back wonderful memories that only you can relate to and draw from the image having been there at that moment.
If you see what I'm getting at .
Then again I bet it would look great as a massive focal point in some swanky modern designer apartment,no doubt with a modern fine art price tag to match
PS. In fact I really am undecided having just looked again. It's certainly really well seen, different, artistic and it's really starting to grow on me.
This will be a really interesting one to hear what others think.
Reducing an image to light and form always produces impact. In this case, I would prefer it if the darkest area in the bottom right was cloned out. Have you experimented with other crops that include more sky?
Agree with Justin that this would look great hanging on the wall of a swanky modern apartment. Hell, would even look good hanging in my crummy flat. Looks good to me!

I like this image a lot.
Just colour and shape, it works for me.
While it is quite abstract, it is still recognisable as a landscape.
I do feel just a fraction more sky at the top would be good.
