I was thinking of hiking into Glacier Gorge next Saturday to shoot McHenry's Peak from Black Lake, Blue Lake or maybe Ribbon Falls. I haven't seen too many shots of McHenry's at sunrise. As far as I can tell from my topo map it looks like it should catch some alpenglow at sunrise. Anyone know if this is the case?
Here's a poor shot (due to high winds) of McHenry at sunrise last August from the Keyhole.

Tony, there are some nice tarns (small) between Black Lake and Green Lake that will reflect McHenry's and the Sharkstooth. You won't see too much red, because of the Longs massif ... but it's still pretty nice.

Hi Tony,
A little more beta info... This shot of Ribbon Falls and McHenry's was taken just off the trail around 10:00am in late June. It is definitely on my "get back to" list and the current scan could even use some more work. But it might help you pre-visualize the scene...
