A great looking image with wonderful colours and feel to it. Very nicely exposed but way too tight in the frame for me.

Hi Phillip,
A beauty of a bird that I have yet to see, let alone photograph.

Hi Phillip
Great shot in nice light and I also like the colour of the water - I also would have liked to have seen a touch more room. It appears to be coming into summer plumage, did you photograph it in the UK before it left for it's summer breeding grounds?
Hi David it is a late summer early winter bird, I have a set of settings stored in Nikon capture and Bibble pro which mimics film types this is my Fuji film setting which boosts certain colours in the images, the Reds and greens have been saturated the grebes neck would be less red normally or the time of year.
