Ptarmigan, rain.
Whenever rare wildlife makes it's way within 200mm, I've been known to take a shot at it. This is a Ptarmigan, a Grouse-like alpine bird that changes plumage with the season. This was only the second encounter I've had with them in years of extensive alpine travels.

Wow, the rain drops are pretty cool! just out of curiousity, what was the shutter speed?
