The Bandon light has certainly withstood the ravages of time.. Like how the light created the golden veins in the foreground rock..

This is great Ned!

This is centered and in-your-face, but based on your title, that seems intentional. I think it works pretty well that way. There's some nice juxiposition between the textured rock in the FG and the rather blank sky behind; it's cool how the nearly intact paint on the lighthouse itself straddles this. Did you get any shots that show more of the texture on the lighthouse works?
You get a much more intimate feel from this if you crop the bottom off right before the rock slopes back into the shadows.
Nicely seen.

I think maybe cloning in one of Marc's more moderate skies would really help.
Really though, I like the comp but the photo is a bit plain. This same comp, with better light would be real nice. I see some nice "industrial junk" possibilities also.

I like the mix of rock and the lighthouse. Kind of wish for one more element/color to add a bit more to it, but this is nice, Ned.

Definitely a straight-on shot. This guy sits on a peninsula that turns into a jetty, with the Coquille River on the left.. I agree about the comments - this is a great one to get on a foggy morning with first light hitting it. I have two more chances to be down there in the next two months, so I will work it..
