Wind Rivers #2
This was sunset our first night at Deep Lake. This was also captured on the Olympus C-8080. I've got a couple sheets of this on 4x5, but there's that whole scanning thing...

Nice! Time flies. I don't see my beanie anywhere in that photo... can you post the 4x5 version?

Beautiful comp with a sky to go with it. Very nice Rick.

Thanks everyone!

Jack, I'll send you the 4x5 and you can see if the beanie is in there. I was shooting with the 80mm, so it may be a bit tough to find. But maybe if you do a large scan, you'll find it. Don't hesitate to e-mail me the scan!

Darren - I did see your comment, thanks. My film is on the way to your house! Seriously, my 2450 is okay - color accuracy is fine - but the dmax is limited and I end up spending most of the time managing tonal issues. Not sure that I could make much improvement in the workflow with that scanner. I'm on the fence at the moment - sticking with the 4x5 and getting a better scanner (probably a microtek), or dumping the LF on ebay and using the D2X exclusively. I really enjoy the 4x5, but I don't shoot as much as I used to (or would like to) and sinking more money into a better scanner is a tough call. Maybe I need to swing over and see your setup to see how easy it could be...

RD,

I love the gold and blue, nicely balanced light and comp and very pretty.
