Little Egret fishing
Hi Everybody,

Thanks very much to everybody who contributed to my last couple of posts, in particular the question I posted.

This image is of a Little Egret that I took while in Leigh on sea a couple of days ago. I lay on the jetty as the tide came in waiting for something to happen and this is the result. The techs were:

Nikon D2X, 300mm F2.8VR with 2x TC, 1/1600th at F8, iso400.

Comments and Critique welcome.

Kind regards, Chris Lloyd.

Nice action shot.

A well timed capture and the low angle works superbly.
I wonder if slightly lightening the highlight areas in levels or curves would give the image a little lift, although it looks like the lack of light was likely due to an overcast day, worth a try perhaps.
Another suggestion which may or may not appeal to you, would be to crop the image to a panoramic format,I feel this would give more emphasis to the bird and behaviour and loose some of the empty space above and below the bird, which,I feel, doesn't really add anything to this particular shot.

hi chris,

Great timing. I would suggest cropping a bit top and bottom to, also try and get a bit more out of the colours and light in CS2.

Regards

Rob

Hi Chris,

Agree with the above comments. A bit of processing would enrich this further. Get those yellow feet a bit more vivid in colour and detail!! Very nice action shot.
