Kirk BH1 in London at short notice

Hi all,

Does anyone know a good stockist of Kirk ballheads in central London? I ordered one recently and it doesn't look as if it will be delivered in time for a planned trip, so I need to find an alternative supplier that I can pop into over the weekend. Calumet don't stock them and I am a bit stumped for other options. Warehouse Express can't express one to me as they're out of stock :frown:

Alternative makes that would fit a Kirk window mount and a Wim Sidekick (plus carry a 500 f4) would be considered. I find the ballhead/quick release plate/gimbal compatibility issue impossible to comprehend... :confused: :confused: :wink:

I doubt if this is a stock item, you could try the second hand specialists Aperture photo 0207 242 8681 (s/h Nikon specialists) - Museum St/New Oxford St, or John at Nicholas Cameras , 0207 916 7251 Mornington Crescent/Camden (1 stop north of Euston on Northern line), or perhaps the Canon specialists York Cameras 0207 242 7182 on Bury St, next street to Aperture may have something Arca Swiss as they deal in high end gear.

Don't know if you've ordered yet, but we stock the full range of Jobu gimbals and we are in Rainham, Essex, on the District Line (Dagenham East)...

Thanks Rob, a most humbling offer of help. This place is great :smile:

I have ordered an Arca Swiss from Warehouse Express. But then my original order arrived ten minutes ago, complete with the "out of stock" Kirk ballhead :cool:

So all I have to do now is try to catch WE before they despatch the surplus Arca :rolleyes:

All good clean fun :biggrin:
