Early this morning, as I was making coffee, I looked and saw the fox, grabbed the camera and snapped away. I think he/she looks suprised

Hi Phil,
Well Done for having your camera close by so early in the morning and also for getting a very good image from a snatch shot. I bet you were both as surprised at each other!
Nice to know he's visiting your garden.
Phil,
I used to have foxes in my garden most nights when I lived in Dagenham but none as nice looking as this one. Not only is South Woodford posher but so are its foxes
Lovely early morning light and an attractive specimen. Given this is a "grab shot" I think this is a good image but the direction of the light and shadow areas prevent it from being as good as it could be. Still it's in your garden and that means you have every chance of suprising it again.

Yes indeed Philiph its a great start and If I had the same image I would be thinking the same, but unfortunately it doesn't quite make it for me.
Work on it Philiph and be prepared to have another go.
Spent two hrs today squeaking up Stoats only to cock up on the exposure. Such is life.
If you dont suceed try and try again.

great shot considering you were not prepared for it. I too would be pleased if one of these were visiting my garden.
Regards Chris.
