Hi everyone!
We are excited to be part of RMNP. While visiting a show in Estes Park last year, we talked with Erik Stensland and he recommended RMNP to us. We finally took the plunge. We have enjoyed seeing photos and reading things in the forums. We have learned a lot and decided to become a part. Here is a photo of Bridal Veil Falls at Hanging Lake.
We are looking forward to getting to know everyone and hope you enjoy our first post.
We are interested in getting a website going, but are novices and don't really know where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Very nice image! Welcome to the group.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work and hopefully we'll see you at some of the shindigs too.

James,
I would suggest that, as a website novice looking for a gallery, you might look at GoDaddy.com's hosting plans. Their Linux plans offer a couple of gallery programs, including an unspecified something basic, plus Coppermine and - I think - Gallery 2.
Alternatively, you could try SmugMug or even Flikr.

Welcome James. That is a very nice photo you posted. I like the effect of the waterfall on the lake. It looks like lights are shining from below.

Thanks guys and thanks for the info on the websites. We'll definitely check it out.
James - welcome! Looking forward to seeing more from you and Karen. Very nice first post. The lighting, the smooth falls and that 'ghost' tree all lend a moody atmoshphere to the image. Great work!
Regarding web sites, you'll find a lot of help here whether you're looking to build your own from scratch (using Adobe Go Live, MS Front Page or a similar program), or wanting to get signed up with a hosting/gallery package like the ones Les suggested. Deciding which approach is best for you is probably the first step. Building your own will give you an opportunity to build a uniquely designed site; going with the online gallery option is a good way to get your images posted online with minimal up front effort. Let us know how we can help.
