Ok, I am in total awe at this guy and his nerve. Man, I would need a change in clothing if I saw that one in person. Whew, my stomach sunk just seeing it online. Man!

"Man, I would need a change in clothing .." I bet that guy needed the clothing more than you would have, Tammy!

From the picture of his landing, it looks like he was pretty close to taking the big whipper! Yikes!

Nice light.
Poor judgement. Budweiser? What the heck was he thinking?

I simply can't understand why the Park Service keeps putting restrictions on photographers. We're careful, considerate and in no way put a strain on their resources.

He couldn't have done it without the high tech climbing/flying shoes. See, it is all about equipment.

Pete, I would like to send some light into this writing: Budweiser is a great Czech beer, from small town of Budvar, and they introduced name Budweiser for their German customers. And they are fighting against giants on courts around the world. You might find some information on their web site:
http://www.budvar.cz/en/web/index.html

As for this chap, my thinking was in the same lines an Australian wrote in reply: his wiring is smoking.

Marko,

In the U.S. Budweiser is a cheap, mass produced beer with an easily recognized label. The can sitting next to him as he is past out on the ground, and in the bag as a tripod support are Budweisers.

Unbelievable!

I have a shot of a friend dangling from one hand from a swinging chain hundreds of feet off the ground!

It looks quite impressive. . .

What you don't know is my friend is a professional tree climber/arborist/vertical caver who regularly does rappels and climbs of 1000+ feet. He was only few feet from the safety of a tree hidden by the rocks and actually only about 15' above a landing that he suddenly dropped down to. . . scaring some of the other people in our group who couldn't see over the edge.

So my next question is, what is this series of photos not showing?

Ron, I know. My point was that Anheuser-Busch stoled Budweiser name and now Czech had to fight on courts around the world for their trademark.

I'm glad to see the crowd here enjoying these photos. The beer only added to my astonishment.

I remember seeing a book detailing all the deaths in Grand Canyon Nat. Park.
Photographers were very well represented.
It was also noted that hardly any young children were fatally injured !
