Thanks to everyone that participated in the 2006-2007 Great Sand Dunes Contest & Exhibit. Congratulations to Rich Long, Scott Borger, Darren Kilgore, and Stephen Weaver.
We are going to have enough display space to give everyone that made a submission a chance to display a photo during one of the two exhibit sessions. For those of you that submitted images please contact me to let me know what image you would like to exhibit. I'll need to know as soon as possible what image you would like to hang in order to work out sizes and to assign you an exhibit session.
...and this, my fellow photographers, is why you must insist on a paper trail for your voting. First place out of that group? Unbelievable. And that d@mn color shift...
Congrats to Scott, Darren, and Steve. Very nice work.
Thanks, everyone (espescially Adam).

Congrats, fellas! And congratulations to everyone who submitted photos - it's an impressive collection of images! It's great that everyone will have the opportunity to have a print on display at the Park. Looking forward to seeing it!
And thanks again, Adam!

Yes, Rich, your image does have some redeeming qualities.

The fall exhibit is starting to come together nicely.
If you are not going to be able to make it to the dunes for the hanging on September 16th I welcome you to ship your work to me and I'll deliver it. Please contact me offline for a shipping address. It will still be up to you to get your work back at the end of the show.

I say we all get together for some shooting after the hanging. Man, that sounds even more weird.
Darren and/or Adam - I would love it if one of you could carpool my piece down. Let me know by when you will need it. I'm in the process of putting it together now.

I'm in for a shootin' and a hangin'! And maybe some drinkin' afterwards.
Bring 'em all, Rich: the .45, the 4x5 and that stash of Colt 45 that you've been reluctant to let us know about.

I see I've been assigned for the Spring- sounds great. I've been away from email for about a week in JHole. Nice job everyone and a big thanks to Adam.

Where do you guys meet for the hanging? Would like to head up early and look for a little wildlife.
Been awhile since I have been there. Any good suggestions? Have not met anyone from this group, except for David Bliss. Look foward to meeting some more. Also, congratulations on all the great images.
Thanks!

Dan,
We will meet at the Visitor's Center. I've only got a two hour drive to get there so I'm up for meeting at any time during the day, those of you that are coming from farther away let me know what time of day you would like to meet.

Would anyone be willing to meet me on the 16th (likely somewhere on I-25 in the Springs) to grab my print ... probably someone coming down from the Denver area?

Are any of you who will be attending the Fall hanging planning on camping out overnight? And further, would any of you be interested in furthering the career of one of the group (namely, me...) by having a nice picinic lunch out at San Luis Lakes? The Lakes seem to be a bit short on people this time of year, and I'm in need of some people pictures for an assignment with the CO Park Service.
I'll be happy to kick in some supplies (firewood and/or lunch) for the enjoyment of anyone interested in participating...
