Managed to spend some time with my herd of Fallow deer over the weekend, checking out the bucks etc ready for the rut in a couple of months, also wanted some shots of the bucks still in velvet.
Also testing a tripod to replace my huge G500 when I am trecking around... so far very pleased, more later.
All the best

Nice shot phil, i love the shallow DOF centered on the subject. Looks very lush there too, not as dry as some places...

Hi Phil,
Lovely shot. Especially with the touch of environment in the background.
Very nice shot Phil, I particularly like the fact that there 3 layers (oof fg, subject, oof bg) which gives great depth to the image making the subject really stand out :)
The Fallow deer is one subject i have never managed to really nail-The colours compliment each other very well as does the composition-very nice

Hi Phil,
I agree with what Terry has said. Eye is drawn straight to the subject and there's so much else to look at yet nothing is distracting. A finely composed shot.

Beautiful as ever - I like your composition but might be tempted to crop a bit from the bottom!

I don't remember seeing this one before.
Lovely shot, especially how the deer is emerging from a sea of green.
Like the light too.
