Based on Rich Voninski's post back in the middle of July, I decided to head to the San Juans for two days at the end of July and the flowers were still great. To save some bytes I won't repost the image, but here is one over in ES&S where I tried to capture some red, white and blue flowers. Thanks Brent for the directions up from Lake City!
Momo, I don't really know why but this one had so much detail I had to seriously reduce the JPEG quality just to get something under 200k. Them's the breaks I guess.
John, Great shot. I have contemplated walking to that spot several times, always on a bright sunny day w/o any clouds, so I did not. You got one - yeah!
On another note, you might want to check your PS workflow. It should not be hard to get a 640X whatever shot posted under 100kb, much less 200kb. Check "Properties"on the pictures in my post in the Summer Waterfall thread. Both of them started as 400+MB scans

Fantastic work, John. The ecclectic foreground is wonderful - diverse and rich without being cluttered or chaotic.

Very nice John! I am fortunate enough to have seen the transparency in person, and let me tell you, it zings!!! I remember it got john and I on a discussion of polarizer use. And yes John, I have finally experimented a little with it.
